'Billiards prodigy' Kim Haeng-jik (Jeonnam) has made a comeback.

It was Kim's first gold medal since winning the 17th Korea Sports Presidents' Cup in 2022.
After defeating Yoo Hoon-sang (Chungnam) in a 39-39 tiebreaker in the Round of 128, Kim had a hard-fought 50-47 victory over Jang Jang-won (Incheon) in the semifinals. In the final, Kim faced a close call against Jeong Ye-sung, the 2023 Seoul World Cup runner-up, who allowed him to tie the score, but he was able to stay focused in the final to win the title with an average of 1.724.

In the women's pocket 10-ball general final, Lee Hae-lin (Incheon City Sports Association) defeated Jin Hye-joo (Gwangju) to win her first title of the 2024 tournament.
