Understanding Femoral Nerve Radiculopathy

Femoral nerve radiculopathy, often referred to as femoral neuropathy, is a condition characterized by pain, numbness, or weakness in the areas served by the femoral nerve. It occurs when there is damage to the femoral nerve.

🔶Symptoms of Femoral Nerve Radiculopathy
🔹Pain: This is usually felt in the groin, thigh, and knee. The pain can be sharp or burning and may worsen with certain activities.
🔹Numbness: A lack of sensation in the front of the thigh or the inside of the lower leg.
🔹Weakness: Difficulty in straightening the knee or hip, making it hard to walk, climb stairs, or perform other leg movements.
🔹Reflex Loss: Reduced or absent knee-jerk reflex.
