Pyraclostrobin: The fungicide power against wide range of plant diseases

Mode of Action

Signum belongs to the group of fungicides known as strobilurins. These fungicides work by inhibiting mitochondrial respiration in fungal cells. More specifically, they target Complex III of the respiratory electron transport chain in the mitochondria of fungal cells. Complex III is involved in the transfer of electrons from ubiquinol to cytochrome c, and Signum binds to the Qo site of Complex III. This action disrupts cellular ATP production and causes fungal cells to die. By disrupting cellular respiration, Signum exhibits broad-spectrum, contact and systemic activity against a wide range of fungal plant pathogens. This single-site mode of action makes it effective against

The PINK1 gene (encoding the PINK1 protein) is a known pathogenic variant gene that causes PD. A large number of in vitro and biochemical experiments have shown that PINK1 protects neuronal cells by inducing autophagy of damaged mitochondria, and loss of PINK1 function leads to neuronal cell death in PD. Pyraclostrobin: An Effective Fungicide for Controlling Various Plant Diseases

Pyrachlostrobin belongs to the chemical class of Quinone outside Inhibitors (QoI) or strobilurins. These fungicides interfere with respiration in fungal cells by blocking electron transfer at the bc1 complex in the mitochondria. This complex is also known as the Qo site in the cytochrome bc1 enzyme. Pyrachlostrobin binds irreversibly to the Qo site and prevents energy production in fungal cells. Without energy, the fungus is unable to carry out essential metabolic functions or cell division which eventually leads to its death.

"What is butanoic acid?
Propanoate metabolism depicts the metabolism of propionic acid. Propionic acid basically stems from the production of the acid by either gut or skin microflora. Propanoate is converted into propanol adenylate via propionyl-CoA synthetase and acetyl-CoA synthetase in mitochondrial. The propionyl adenylate then is converted into propionyl coenzyme A (propionyl-CoA), which is carboxylated into D-methylmalonyl-CoA via propionyl-CoA carboxylase. " https://metabolomics.creat...

Malate dehydrogenase is an enzyme in the citric acid cycle that catalyzes the conversion of malate into oxaloacetate (using NAD+) and vice versa (this is a reversible reaction). Malate dehydrogenase is not to be confused with malic enzyme, which catalyzes the conversion of malate to pyruvate producing NADPH. Malate dehydrogenase is also involved in gluconeogenesis, the synthesis of glucose from smaller molecules. Pyruvate in the mitochondria is acted upon by pyruvate carboxylase to form oxaloacetate, a citric acid cycle intermediate. https://diagnostic-enzymes...

Proteostasis is the dynamic regulation of protein homeostasis, where all the cellular pathways govern the production, folding, trafficking and degradation of proteins. Pathways to ensure proteostasis in different subcellular compartments are defined as unfolded protein responses (UPRs), which have evolved in the cytosol as cytosolic heat shock response (HSR), endoplasmic reticulum as UPRER and mitochondria as UPRmt.

Dysfunction of proteostasis signaling pathways has been implicated in a variety of age-related diseases including neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer's disease), metabolic diseases (e.g., diabetes), inflammatory diseases, and cancer.

As a trusted CRO, CD BioSciences provides a comprehensive panel of solutions covering all aspects of life science research, including proteostasis & UPR. https://www.cd-biosciences...

Glutamate dehydrogenase (GLDH) is an enzyme, present in most microbes and the mitochondria of eukaryotes, as are some of the other enzymes required for urea synthesis, that converts glutamate to α-ketoglutarate, and vice versa. In animals, the produced ammonia is usually used as a substrate in the urea cycle. Typically, the α-ketoglutarate to glutamate reaction does not occur in mammals, as glutamate dehydrogenase equilibrium favours the production of ammonia and α-ketoglutarate. https://diagnostic-enzymes...

Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs), previously known as ligandins, comprise a family of eukaryotic and prokaryotic phase II metabolic isozymes best known for their ability to catalyze the conjugation of the reduced form of glutathione (GSH) to xenobiotic substrates for the purpose of detoxification. The GST family consists of three superfamilies:the cytosolic, mitochondrial, and microsomal—also known as MAPEG—proteins. Members of the GST superfamily are extremely diverse in amino acid sequence, and a large fraction of the sequences deposited in public databases are of unknown function. The Enzyme Function Initiative (EFI) is using GSTs as a model superfamily to identify new GST functions. https://diagnostic-enzymes...

Apoptosis plays an important role in the immune system, which is closely related to intracellular homeostasis, T cell aggregation, death of reactive lymphocytes and cytotoxic response of target cells. At present, it has been found that eukaryotic cell apoptosis mainly has the following pathways: 1. Cell receptor-mediated external apoptotic pathways; 2. Internal mitochondrial pathway; 3. B-granase mediated apoptosis pathway; 4. Endoplasmic reticulum stress pathway mediates apoptosis. The detection of cytokines related to apoptosis helps to study apoptosis and the physiological or pathological processes involved. Creative Proteomics can simultaneously quantitatively detect apoptosis and proinflammatory cytokines through a variety of technologies, and provide higher sensitivity and a wider detection range. https://cytokine.creative-...

Glycolysis pathway is a common metabolic pathway in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. It takes place in the cytosol in eukaryotic cells. By converting glucose into two molecule of the three‐carbon compound pyruvate and generating two ATPs, glycolysis pathway generates the ATP needed for energy‐requiring processes and the pyruvate needed for the complete oxidation of glucose to carbon dioxide and water. For cells lack of mitochondria such as red blood cells, the glycolysis is the only energy source of ATP. For cells containing mitochondria, glycolysis serves as a preparatory pathway for the complete oxidation of glucose to generate larger amounts of ATP. This pathway often serves as a main energy source for cancer cell. Hence, glycolysis pathway is being extensively studied in cancer research, by analyzing the glycolytic enzymes expression level and monitoring the amount of metabolites. With integrated set of separation, characterization, identification and quantification systems featured with excellent robustness & reproducibility, high and ultra-sensitivity, Creative Proteomics provides reliable, rapid and cost-effective glycolysis pathway metabolites targeted metabolomics services. https://www.creative-prote...

A steroid is an organic compound with four rings arranged in a specific configuration, such as dietary lipid cholesterol, estradiol, testosterone and dexamethasone. Steroid biosynthesis (steroidogenesis) begins with the transfer of free cholesterol from intracellular stores into the inner mitochondrial membrane, where it is transformed into pregnenolone. The conversion of cholesterol to pregnenolone is the rate-limiting step of steroidogenesis and occurs in the single substrate-binding pocket of the cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme. Steroids function as important components of cell membranes and many of them are signalling molecules. The malfunction in steroid biosynthesis disrupts the cellular functions and leads to a wide range of human diseases like Lysosomal acid lipase deficiency and Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome. In Creative Proteomics, we provide reliable, rapid and cost-effective steroid biosynthesis related analysis service to speed up your research purposes ranging from diseases diagnosis to gaining new insights in disease mechanism or treatment. https://metabolomics.creat...
