IOD in Real Estate | IOD Meaning

The Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) Act 1888 has been cited as the source of the disapproval notification. When tearing down or rebuilding a building, the municipal corporation must provide the IOD, or indication of disapproval, which is a fundamental authorization. Once the developer receives an Intimation of Disapproval (IOD) from the local authorities, they are required to give the current tenants of the property a reasonable notice period of 45 to 60 days.
