It's widespread practice to control and eradicate dangerous and undesirable species using mold, bacteria, algae, insects, and rodents. In homes and public places including hospitals and industries, rodenticides, wood preservatives, disinfectants, in-can preservatives, antifouling agents (on boats), and other biocides are employed.
