Ayodhya is considered one of the holiest cities for Hindus all over the globe as it is said to be the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram. Sitting atop this ancient set-up of an ancient city was the glorious Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir which stood tall witnessing faith and history on one side, and love and devotion on the other. On all occasions of significance, pilgrims come from every nook and corner of India just to prostrate themselves before the Temple and soak in the ambience of Ayodhya.

But Ayodhya is also a city of timeless temples, ghats, and legends, outside of the Ram temple. Hanuman Garhi is a temple on a hill-top from where one can have enticing sunset views, followed by infinite tranquillity to the soul. Not too far away from it is Kanak Bhawan, well-noted for the refreshing idols of Ram and Sita, a temple reputed for its peaceful ambience and artistic appeal.

An ambience of divinity is dressed on the riverbanks with chants of prayers at the Saryu river ghats, when night sets in. Nageshwarnath Temple and Treta Ke Thakur, considered to be erected by Raja Vikramaditya, are other must-visits for one looking for age-old Ayodhya legacy.
