How many days are enough for Delhi and Agra?
Planning a trip to Delhi and Agra can be simple if you know how much time to give each place. For most travelers 3 to 4 days are enough to cover the main attractions without rushing. You can start in Delhi with 2 days to visit places like India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple and the Red Fort. Don’t forget to spend time in Old Delhi for a taste of local food and market life.
After Delhi head to Agra which is about a 3 to 4 hour drive. One full day is usually enough to see the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Mehtab Bagh. If you have an extra day you can also include Fatehpur Sikri which is just outside the city. Travel between the two cities is easy by car or train and many people choose to stay overnight in Agra to catch the early morning view of the Taj Mahal.
