Nidhi Tiwari: Nidhi Tiwari elevated to the rank of Modi's private secretary

Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Nidhi Tiwari has been appointed as the Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) of the Government of India issued an order regarding this appointment on March 29. Nidhi's appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, it said. The order will come into effect immediately, the DoPT said. Till now, Nidhi is working as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
