Andhra Pradesh: Two-year-old child dies of bird flu in AP?

Andhra Pradesh has reported its first bird flu (H5N1) virus death. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Institute of Virology (NIV) have confirmed that a two-year-old child died of bird flu in Narasaraopet, Palnadu district. The girl died on March 16 and this was confirmed after some tests. This is the first case of death due to bird flu in the state, and the government has been alerted. The government has said that people do not need to worry. Doctors have concluded that the child died due to eating raw chicken meat and low immunity.
