Cellulose Gel: An Important Material in Healthcare
Cellulose gel, also known as hydrogel or aqueous gel, is a solid viscoelastic transparent jelly material made by suspending cellulose or a derivative of cellulose in water. Cellulose is an organic compound with the formula (C6H10O5) that constitutes the main component of plant cell walls. Cellulose gel is formed when cellulose or cellulose derivatives are mixed with water and allowed to hydrate, forming an elastic gel-like material.
