Ocean Jasper – The Rarest of All Jaspers

Ocean Jasper Jewelry is known by many names – Cellular Jasper, Ocean Orbicular Jasper, and Atlantis Stone. It has been documented that ocean jasper was found in the early 1920s. However, it was lost to the world for about 75 years. In 1997, the intrepid Paul Obenich rediscovered ocean jasper along the coasts of Madagascar. Ocean jasper is one of the many varieties of jasper. It is a member of the quartz family. Due to its high silica content, the specs of shimmering druzy quartz are often found in ocean jasper. It is generally found in colours like white, green, and brown.
