Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple in Mathura

Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple is located in the outer-skirt area of Mathura. This temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva. Devotees visit this temple to seek the blessing of Lord Shiva. This temple has a great significance among the locals.

The name Bhuteshwar is derived from the word Bhuta or Bhoota. Bhoot means ghost, and Eshwar or IShwar means God. Lord Shiva protects his devotees from evil spirits, and hence devotees visit this temple if they feel negative energies. There are so many famous Mandir in Mathura that will make you go stunned and bhuteshwar mandir is one of them. This temple is just 4 to 5 km away from Mathura and takes half an hour, approx. to reach there. You must visit this temple during the time of Shivratri, as the ambiance of the temple during this festival is unbelievable.
