History of Kans Qila in Mathura

Kans Qila, or the fort of Kansa, is dedicated to the demon Kansa. He was the uncle of Lord Krishna who ruled Mathura. He was a cruel king. Kansa was famous for his oppression and rule over the Mathura people. He imprisoned his sister and his brother-in-law because it was predicated way before that because of his bad deeds, the eighth son of her sister, Devaki, would kill him. He had killed seven of the children of her sister, but eight was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and he was somehow saved and taken to Gokul.

The fort and other historical places of Mathura offer a glimpse of Lord Krishna’s past. To explore the past of Mathura and its historical culture, you can consider booking a Mathura Tour Package to easily travel not just Qans Kila but other famous and historical places as well.
