Shaktipeeths in Himachal
As India is a vibrant country with so many tradition and cultures, it is also famous destination for unique pilgrim places with total Shaktipeeth counted as 51. And at least five of them are in Himachal only. The first one is Naina Devi, where Mata Sati’s eye had fallen. It is located in Bilaspur district.
The second one is Chintpurni Temple, located in the Una District. It is the place where her feet fell. It is also said that the high altitudes soothes devotees from stress here. The third one is Brajeshwari Temple in Nagarkot, Kangra district of Himachal where Mata Sati’s breast fell.
The fourth one is Chamunda Devi Temple that is also known as Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham located in Kangra district. The last one is Jwalamukhi Temple that is also known as Jwalaji. This is the place where her tongue had fallen.
