Raffle Tickets for Nonprofits

Nonprofits that sell raffle tickets have the opportunity to raise funds and promote their organization. A raffle contest may also be a good way to build relationships with local merchants. To Buy Raffle Tickets Visit: https://www.rafflesforless...

Assign a small committee to solicit prizes. Make a list of merchants to approach and explain the benefits of giving an item as a prize.

Organizing a Raffle
Organizing a raffle event involves planning when and how you will promote your fundraiser. It also means choosing prizes that will entice participants to buy tickets.

Start by asking your staff and volunteers for ideas of what kinds of items would make great raffle prizes. Then brainstorm with them to come up with a list of vendors, local businesses, major donors, and board members who might be willing to contribute something.

You can then contact those individuals or organizations to ask for a prize. Some states have restrictions on how many raffles a nonprofit can conduct or on what types of prizes it can offer, so you may need to check with your state's regulations before proceeding.

Give your team a timeline for selling tickets. It's helpful to have weekly goals for them so they can stay on track. At the end of the raffle, contact your winners and celebrate with them! Afterward, make a file to record your raffle experience so that you can improve for next year.
