Radha Raman Temple Vrindavan History
Radha Raman temple was founded over 500 years ago by Gopala Bhatta Gosvami when he was 30. After the demise of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Gopala Bhatta Gosvami felt detachment from the lord so that Lord Krishna appeared in the dream to reduce his grief. He told Gopala Bhatta to travel to Nepal to get blessings. The Radha Raman Mandir is devoted to Lord Krishna, who is worshipped here as Radha Raman. Radha Raman means “The one who pleases Radha”. He prayed to the deity to fulfil his desire by showing in the human form. After seeing his pure devotion, one of the twelve holograms turned into a deity of Radha Raman, he performed rituals and sometime later, eleven shilas and a deity remained.
