Physician associates must complete Continuing Medical Education (CME) to maintain certification and licensure. The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) requires PAs to complete 100 CME credits every two years as part of a 10-year certification cycle, with at least 50 of those credits being Category 1.
