Rural Development Administration, Giheung Lake Golf Practice Range Land and Water
A private company that has been renting this site and operating a golf practice range for the past 10 years is not satisfied with this decision and has filed an administrative appeal.
According to a comprehensive report by Yonhap News on the 5th, Lake Giheung, which was completed in 1964 as an agricultural reservoir, is an agricultural infrastructure facility with a total water storage capacity of 11.659 million tons and an area of 2.58㎢.
The Rural Development Administration, which manages the reservoir, leased approximately 60,000 square meters of land and water surface along Giheung Lake to Company A, a golf practice range operator, starting in September 2014 as part of a project to obtain a permit for use outside of its intended purpose.
