The Winner of the '3-Point Battle Between Men and Women' of the Century is Curry... Lonescu Wins by 3 Points

Lillard beats Young and others to win the NBA 3-point contest for the second straight time

Stephen Curry, the star of the Golden State Warriors, smiled during the three-point match of the century in men's and women's professional basketball held during the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game.

Curry defeated Sabrina Ionescu of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) in a special three-point contest on the eve of the 2023-2024 NBA All-Star Game held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA on the 18th (Korean time). https://start.me/w/RDoN4D

Curry, who won the 2015 and 2021 All-Star Game 3-point contests, is considered the world's best shooter in name and reality, but did not participate in this All-Star Game.

Instead, he participated in the men's and women's match with Ionescu held immediately after the 3-point contest and scored 29 points out of a total of 40 points.

Curry attempted 599 3-point shots this season and succeeded 252 times, recording a success rate of 42.1%.

Ionescu, who shot before Curry, scored 26 points.

26 points is the same as the record of Damian Lillard (Milwaukee), the winner of this season's 3-point contest.

However, Ionescu attempted the shot with a WNBA official ball, not the NBA.

The 3-point distance was thrown at a distance of 7.24m (from the front) from the rim according to the NBA.

New York Liberty's Ionescu, known as the 'female Curry', recorded a 44.8% 3-point success rate last season. https://zenwriting.net/90i...

In 2023, she won the WNBA 3-Point Contest, where she won a whopping 37 out of 40 points.

Ionescu, who unfortunately could not overcome Stephen Curry's barrier, said, "I hope this isn't the last time we face each other."

In the 3-point contest, Milwaukee Bucks guard Lillard succeeded in his second consecutive victory.

Jason Kapono, who won back-to-back titles in 2007 and 2008, is the last person to win two titles in a row before Lillard.
