During the 18th century, Denmark had a small market for industrial valves, mostly catering to the needs of local crafts, agriculture, and water supply. The handcrafted, basic valves reflected the limited technological capabilities and low demand of the era. But this time also laid the groundwork for later developments that would make the country's industrial valve market the sophisticated and vibrant industry it is today.

Due to Denmark's predominately agrarian economy at the time, there wasn't much of a market for industrial valves. These valves were made and repaired as needed by neighborhood craftsmen and blacksmiths, however their production was not very high.
