Connecting an Orbi satellite, such as the RBS750, is generally straightforward. However, following the correct procedure is crucial for a successful mesh network setup. This guide outlines two effective methods for connecting your Orbi RBS750 satellite to the main router.

Orbi RBS750 Satellite Setup – Physical Sync Method
The Orbi RBS750 satellite features three key buttons:

Power Button

Sync Button

Reset Button (accessible through a pinhole)

To connect the satellite to your router using the Sync button, follow these steps:

Plug the satellite into a working power outlet.

Press the Sync button on your Orbi router.

Within 60 seconds, press the Sync button on the satellite.

The router will automatically recognize and link with the satellite.

Once this process is complete, the satellite is part of your mesh network. You won’t need to log in to the app or web interface to add it manually.

Method 2: Setting Up the RBS750 via the Orbi App
If you prefer using the mobile app, here’s how to connect your satellite:

Plug in both the router and satellite to functional power outlets and turn them on.

Open the Orbi app on your mobile device and log in using your MyNetgear account.

Scroll down and tap "Add More Satellites."

The app should detect the new satellite automatically. Tap "Next" to continue.
