Medicines: Increased medicine prices...impacting over 900 medicines

Do you take medicines on a daily basis? But the cost of your medicines is about to increase. The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has announced a hike in the prices of essential medicines by up to 1.74% , which will increase the cost burden on millions of people who use medicines. Due to the increase in the prices of these medicines, the prices of medicines for cancer, diabetes, heart disease, blood pressure as well as antibiotics have increased. These include paracetamol, azithromycin, anti-allergy, anti-anemia, vitamin tablets and mineral medicines. These medicines are used for common ailments. The list of medicines whose prices have increased includes 800 names.
