Kotireddy: Man tries to be buried alive on Ugadi, but police stop him

An incident has created a stir in Prakasam district. Kotireddy, son of former sarpanch Kaipu Anjireddy of Vithalapuram in Tallur mandal, was arrested by the police for attempting to commit a live burial . Kotireddy, who built a Bhudevi temple in his field on the outskirts of his village twelve years ago, has been performing special pujas in that temple. In recent times, he has become more spiritually engaged. It seems that some incidents in his life and his religious beliefs have led to this decision.
