Is Non-Basmati Rice Gluten-Free?

Yes, non-basmati rice is gluten-free, so people on a gluten-free diet or sensitive to gluten would be ideal candidates for such consumption. Rice in its purest form contains no gluten; hence, it goes without saying that all the different types of non-basmati rice contain no gluten. Be it Sona Masoori, Patna rice, or other varieties of short-grain and long-grain rice, they contain no gluten.

Non-basmati rice is used to make khichdi, pulao, and a variety of other desserts which consist of rice as the base ingredient. Different types of varieties differ in their texture and taste but always remain gluten-free.

As demands for gluten-free products continue to increase, Indian Non Basmati Rice Traders and non-basmati rice exporters come forward in supplying quality, gluten-free rice on international markets.
