Fighters of the Al-Qas'sam Brigade left a letter at a house in the Zeitoun area of Gaza City.
The letter read:
“Assalamu Alaikum our family and loved ones:
May Allah accept your patience, sacrifice and blood sacrifice and reward you for all that you have lost. By Allah, you have suffered, suffered, been displaced and injured for your religion and country. Forgive us and accept that we are sorry for you.
We used your property, entered your home, ate and drank your food, and even wore your clothes.
Forgive us for every child's cry, every suffering, every oppression and every painful tear. By Allah, we struggled as much as we could and did what we could.
We have not surrendered, we have not neglected, we have not betrayed, we have not abandoned our fort. We have avenged you and your blood. We have avenged our Prophet (PBUH). We repelled the Jews from our homes. Today is the day of victory, honor and manifestation of power.
Don't let their hate and brutality make you forget your children's glorious morning on October 7. The day your children's shoes walk over their heads and the sound of your faith echoes in your land.
Finally: May each year bring you closer to glory and honor. May Allah accept your stability, endurance and patience. We will meet in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque victoriously, with praise and glory, by God's will.
