Dolphins can use tools, solve complex problems, and even recognize themselves in mirrors – such traits are uncommon to possess in the animal kingdom. Scientists have found that there are approximately 40 different species of dolphins, ranging from well-known bottlenose dolphins to lesser-known species like the Amazon River dolphin.
