Chainsaw Safety Guidelines to Consider

Chainsaws can be extremely dangerous if not handled properly. To stay safe, consider the following five simple yet crucial tips:
1. Use protective equipment.
When using a chainsaw, you should always wear a helmet, safety goggles, gloves, and sturdy boots. Wearing safety equipment helps protect you from flying debris and the risk of injuring yourself in the event of an accident.
2. Use both hands.
Use both of your hands to grip the chainsaw, so you can properly apply pressure and have a steady grip on the saw.
3. Be aware of your workspace.
Before you start any cutting, ensure that your cutting space is clear of people, pets, and anything else that you could possibly put in jeopardy. Always position yourself away from others.
4. Never cut above shoulder height.
When the chainsaw is in use above shoulder height, the chance of losing control of the saw and/or becoming injured from the kickback of the saw is greatly increased.
5. Turn off the chainsaw before making changes to the chain.
When making adjustments or fixing the chain always make sure the chainsaw is off or unplugged.
Also, please pay attention while using electric chainsaws, be smart it will help you avoid accidents.
