Why Kashi Vishwanath Temple is famous?
Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a very famous as well as special temple in Varanasi city of India. It is one of the most Famous Shiva Temples to Visit in India. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is known as the god of destruction and creation in Hinduism.
It is said that Varanasi had the first Jyotriling that came as the fiery pillar of light. Long ago, people believe that Lord Shiva appeared here as a big pillar of light that came out from the Earth and went up to the sky. This showed how powerful he is. That’s why this temple is considered one of the most holy places in India.
The temple is built near the River Ganga. Many people take a holy bath in the river and then go to the temple to pray. They believe that doing this brings peace and helps their soul become free.
The temple is now easier to visit because of a new walkway called the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. During Savan, the temple’s golden spire gleams over the surging crowds offering Ganga jal and chanting “Har Har Mahadev.”
