Mmmmmmm. A pot of stew simmering away on my new 24 year old crock pot...... well most of my appliances are far older.... packet of mixed vegatables.... coliflower, broccoli, snap beans, browned beef chunks, brown gravy from the pan leavings with beef Bouillon cubes and chicken stock for the liquid to make the gravy. Butter browned mini potatoes with mushrooms added mid browning and half a tube of gourmet garlic added before placing in the crock pot. Carrots browned in butter, onions sautéed until partially caramelized and more garlic at the end before adding to the pot. Unbrowned carrots around the edges for visual effects. Sea salt and a bunch of Italian herbs in the pot. Now all I got to do is wait at least 2 hours.....which is a bit early..... and have dinner. Good God I like my own cooking!

Schnickle update..... eating and drinking well, normal stools, tinkling a nice light yellow. A bit uncomfortable as the time comes to giver her more pain medication. Visited the airplane field for a short time this morning. She ate a McDonald's cheeseburger at noon... waits patiently as I break pieces off and place them on the yellow burger wrapper.... I have a big Mac in the open box on my lap right next to her with her burger sitting in the other half of the box..... I give her a bite and then I take a bite of mine..... no diving into my lap..... just sits and waits. Now that is a trusting dog. I time it so we both run out of burger at the same time.... then she licks the box clean....lettuce, stuck cheese, onion, sesame seeds. I do enjoy her company and manners.... and Ary gave her several chicken pieces. The IV connector comes off tomorrow and staples out a week from Friday.

Ya know what it takes to make a 70 year old grumpy grandpa happy? That a big tumor removed from his best fur buddy was not cancer!!!!! The staples were removed today with Larry Hammond in support. Best possible outcome.
